Okay, this website and the content within are NOT to be taken as a expression of nothing more than a bored youth with too much time on his hands. I, the said youth, am not an artist. Nor am I skilled in any trade. I also do not claim to have any knowledge of building or maintaining a website and writing in HMTL. I know nothing.

That being said, welcome and enjoy! I have little to offer besides the fact that I hope to improve and be more-skillful in at least one of the three shortcomings listed above, mayhaps even TWO. Secret Pirate is a work in progress. The design, atmosphere and overall appearance of this web comic is not yet complete. Sure, I may have a few piddly offerings as of now, but I promise nothing besides my genuine honesty in saying that I hope to turn this into something worthwhile. But those who know me best say I am a worthless procrastinator who, if given the chance, could could derail a train at 1 mile an hour.

As of writing this, I fourteen SP comics up. Given that the site:s been up, in one form or another, for over 14 months... That:s not all that impressive. It:s not the pace I was going for at all. On top of that, I really wasn:t in "the best place" for the past four months. I had to divert a lot of free time to my studies and learning to work with a tablet. SP isn:t done with a tablet, just good old fashioned pencil and paper with a dash of Photoshop for flavor. Ballisticrazy and Angst of Fighting are. So was that Toupsex Lies & Videotape stunt I pulled for FKW_2005.

Learning HMTL is fun and rewarding in its own way. Challenging, even. Without any formal training or education it it, it:s amazing what I:ve been able to learn and accomplish so far. Same thing with the tablet. Everytime I use it I get a litte better. Which is still pretty crappy compared to what will come out later on.

So really, I guess this site, the comics, and the indies are more of a hobby rather than anything else.

Other "quirks" about the site, such as my penchant for using colons where apostrophes belong and my crazy "HMTL" and "OMGF" acronyms are just my goofy way to remind me how much I hate writing in a "normal" fashion. Rules were meant to be bent, as the saying goes.
